My Community and Me

Classroom: Mariquitas

Blog Theme: My Community and Me

Week: From 11/19/2018 to 11/23/2018

What we are learning?
Dear Parents,

We hope you are having a beautiful week.  This is our last week of the theme “My Community and Me”. Children will explore their surroundings and be also encouraged to be kind, nice and considerate to their neighbors and show respect to them.

Through practical actions we keep enlightening kids about importance of being part of a neighborhood. We have scheduled exciting activities related to this theme so children can continue learning through fun experiences.  Each one of these activities will help to continue strengthening gross and fine motor skills, language and socio-emotional skills. Below you can find a summary of all activities during the week:

  • Observe flashcards of community helpers.

  • Create a firefighter helmet with paper plates and paint it with red tempera.

  • Create a turkey for Thanksgiving with paper of different colors.

  • Participate in games to keep kids engaged in groups.

  • Listen to stories related to Thanksgiving.

Thank you for letting us play such an important role in your child’s life and we hope you have a great weekend.
